Why make vanilla ice cream?

The truth is, homemade ice cream is out of this world. It actually takes you 15 minutes plus a few hours of freezing time. However, it's delicious and highly customizable. After the first pint of homemade ice cream, nobody's alike -- you'll never look at store-bought frozen treats the same way again.

What's in vanilla ice cream?

There are two key ingredients in a no-churn ice cream recipe. The first is condensed milk, which gives the ice cream its sweet and creamy flavor, and the second is heavy cream, which is whipped until fluffy to give the ice cream the smoothest texture.

Otherwise, it's time to let your imagination run wild. In this case, we're using high-quality vanilla extract to add some character to the ice cream, but that's where the fun comes in. Add chocolate, blueberries or pistachios instead. Everything will pass.

Once you're confident and ready with your ice cream, you'll want to try new and exciting flavors, but start with vanilla and see how it goes. After all, practice makes perfect!

Enjoy your homemade vanilla ice cream with friends and family and have an extra pint in the freezer for uninvited guests. Everyone loves ice cream and having your own is a great conversation starter!
